This is a quick comic that I made at a Narrative Life Drawing workshop run by published graphic novelist Karrie Fransman (she recently published the House That Groaned – http://www.karriefransman.com). To have a better read, click on the picture to enlarge it…
Two guys modeled for us, taking fun pauses and holding weird props. We had 10 minutes per sequence and the aim was to come up with a quick story at the end of the third one. The focus was not so much on the drawing but rather on the narrative, exploiting the pauses and props of our two models. While some fellow illustrators focused on the characters and facial expressions and had a strong idea of the wording from the very beginning, for some reason I focused on the props and the wording only came up through the third sequence. Hope it makes you smile!
Have good week. Bye for now.
