On 10 December, each year, one celebrates the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted in 1948 by the United Nations’ General Assembly. The date marks the World Human Rights Day. I don’t know if this is due to the fact that I’m a lawyer or that I just care about the world around me but this date has always mattered to me, hence this post…It is interesting that it falls only two weeks before Christmas at a time where the “developed” world is lost in the excitement of the Christmas season…
