I’ve completed my charity challenge. I can proudly say that I’ve climbed all to way up to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. You wouldn’t believe how beautiful it is up there, at an altitude of 5896m. It is surely the hardest thing I’ve done in my life, and I went all teary at the top. Those were tears of immense happiness, achievement and…complete exhaustion. I have taken a few shots of the top with my Holga camera, so bear with me as it will take a bit of time for them to be processed. I’m curious to see the results.
I could moan till the end of time that I haven’t extended my trip in Tanzania. Chilling out on the beaches of Zanzibar, or being off on a safari, is exactly what I need right now. This is pur bliss (…yeah, right).
Speaking of art exhibitions, the first one is scheduled for the 8th and 9th of October, at the Rag Factory in East London as part of the release of Grok Music’s latest album (http://www.grokmusic.co.uk/ – A special website is dedicated to the exhibition: http://www.createadiversion.co.uk/index.html). I’ve illustrated the track “Pigeons”, in six sequences. This drawing is the first one. The song tells the story of an old man whose new purpose in life is to bring pigeons back to Chelsea…
