Inspired by Gaddafi’s eccentric speech of Tuesday in which he refused to admit defeat and promised a bloody fight against protesters. To me this is all mere public display of obvious madness and leaves me upset. I’m always impressed by humankind’s stupidity and subsequent tragedies…In 40 years of regime the little mad man has not even managed to build national institutions on which his people could build up on, leaving the country in complete chaos for a while. I despise the hypocrisy of the international community now playing the card of denunciation while for about 40 years that same international community accredited the little mad man for the mere reason that he had black gold in his back garden.
I’m impressed by the current wave of uprisings against autocratic Arab regimes. People have found the guts to risk their life to stand up for their right to democracy. A big lesson that I hope will inspire Belgians to claim new elections whereas the country is breaking the world record of a State without a national government.
